I'm looking for two tickets but my hopes aren't high. A couple of my friends have expressed interest in burning man but I have told them they coudn't go till they make sure they like crowd first, although I'm fairly sure they will. If I can't get them fall tickets I'll get them to spring.

Random and I met and fell in love at PDF, and we would love to return next month to celebrate our engagement (happened at burning man!), to work on our theme camp (Camp Deviants - you want my new version of gourmet grilled cheese???), and to volunteer as rangers/participation station.

I hate how ticket searches become a competition, but just wanted to share why PDF is so important to us, and how we contribute to it.

I was going to go to burning man, I had a ticket and everything, but then my finances went POOF so I had to sell it and couldn't go. The limiting of tickets is an awful idea. Awful. It leads to hoarding, inevitably and always. The perception of scarcity makes people act crazy. There are ways to limit attendance without making tickets scarce.

As the time gets closer to the event, people will unload their unused tickets, but no one without a ticket can plan ahead and make something cool and fun in the time remaining.

I realize this is another plea amongst the other pleas but I'd love to buy and volunteer for two tickets. I recently moved to Delaware from San Francisco, and not only does pdf sound like an amazing experience but I'd also love to jump on the opportunity to make some contacts with people on this side of the continent. I messed up when purchasing my tickets and apparently won't be making it to pdf this fall. I thought I had tickets, but due to a computer glitch, now I don't. So there won't be any of Chelas' body painting going on until the spring :(

So, yeah I just found out the ticket I thought I had for PDF I don't really have. I have been attending PDF since Spring of 2005 and have not missed one since. It would break my heart to miss this one as my birthday is on Friday October 9th and I had some big plans to celebrate it with the community. With the exception of my first time, I have always volunteered for two shifts either at the gate or participation station every time I have attended. I have founded theme camps, created art, assisted with various events and have generally given to the community. If you have a ticket or know someone that has a ticket please PM me. I can give you the money via paypal, mail it to you, or place the cash directly in your hand if you live within a reasonalble distance. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hey everyone, I hope you all are finding luck in your search for tickets. Just to reiterate (I am sure this has been mentioned before): Make sure you are utilizing the ticket exchange and the regional mailing lists. I was without a ticket for spring PDF, decided to make a go for it on very short notice, and literally an hour after I posted a ticket request someone called me back with a ticket to offer. Best of luck, and don't give up hope! The closer we get to the burn, the more tickets will become available.

Please please please read this carefully before responding. There are so many people I care for who don't have tickets, please don't be insulted if this process doesn't work for you. A few weeks ago, I had 10 tickets and there were 70+ requests for those tickets, many from those I know and love. There were a few people who were slightly annoyed at me because I didn't give them the tickets they asked for or hinted at they needed. I want to get you tickets, I do. And I will do my best to do it. I will not be able to personally respond to every request, and I apologize in advance for that.

Here we go: Teamed with a Burner developer, I am testing the process for matching people with extra PDF tickets to those people who don't have a ticket. Hopefully it's something we can roll out by the next PDF. If you'd like to be a guinea pig, please read the rest of this email. Yes, there are rules, sorry. But once you get at ticket and are at PDF you can shed those pesky rules. Until then, help us and yourself out by strictly adhering to the process. Thank you in advance!

Also, please know how the ticket game usually goes with PDF: there is a shortage of tickets a number of weeks before PDF -- so everyone who needs tickets makes alternate plans; and then all the tickets are freed up days before the event -- because people's plans change, and they are flaky hippies, etc. Unfortunately by this time, most people have made alternate plans. So the most flexible people are the winners in this game. Therefore, those looking for a ticket who test this service please know you probably won't get any notification until days before or event during the event.
