So... I was thinking that PDF would be a great place to beg some coffee grounds for my vermi-composting bin.
(since I don't drink it, but my worms love it!)
Then I got to thinking... what other ways can we utilize PDF sustainably?
Would love to hear your ideas!

Mon, October 5, 2009 - 7:20 AMThanks, Dusty!
I'll be sure to grab some.
Can you imagine how awesome my car is going to smell on the way home?
Like a roving Starbucks.

Mon, October 5, 2009 - 10:43 AMIdeaDome is just across the way from Camp Sexy, and altho we don't don out as much coffee as Sticky Mike, we're big fans of joe ourselves. If you're leaving a container at Camp Sexy, I'm sure we can add to it as well. -

Re: Sustainable PDF
Mon, October 5, 2009 - 9:26 PMCamp Sexy will have a can, or two, to collect coffee grounds. Any camp in our hood that wants to dump their grounds into our sexy can is welcomed to. Heads up kids... just grounds, no filters or other stuff.

Re: Sustainable PDF
Mon, October 5, 2009 - 7:05 PMCamp Hüntenfjord (from the Swedish for "trust the worm") is also across the street from Camp Sexy. We can fill your coffee bin if you bring us 3 healthy worms to the spring PDF. -

Re: Sustainable PDF
Mon, October 5, 2009 - 7:34 PMCan you tell where the party is going to be?
Find the 3 camps next to each other that drink the most coffee...haha!
In the same neighborhood (next to camp sexy too) is Big Tea Party Sustainable Living.
I'm sure they'd love to discuss 'ideas' for being more sustainable at PDF.

Re: Sustainable PDF
Tue, October 6, 2009 - 8:49 AMWell... looks like I'm good on the coffee grounds.
(I only have ONE worm bin. Make that one highly caffeinated worm bin!)
I'm really looking forward to meeting the folks at the Big Tea Party.
Anybody got any additional ideas for sustainable-type stuff?

Re: Sustainable PDF
Tue, October 6, 2009 - 4:09 PMsince the dump has officially kicked me out I would be willing to collect Clean, 1 gallon and Clean 2.5 Gallon plastic Water Jugs. i have to emphasize CLEAN and WATER Jugs because other jugs are just too smelly. Also if you are donating clean water jugs it helps me if they are NOT crushed. Thanks. Drop them at camp 215.
