Finally, we're (more or less) ready to take your submissions for the spring What Where When events guide.
If you're planning an event at PDF and want people to know about it, submit it to the WWW. If you are planning an event that hinges on everyone only finding out about it after the fact, it's imperative that you don't.
But the WWW isn't just events. It's also a guide to the art of PDF - make something cool? Let everyone know where to find it - put it in the WWW.
Having an impromptu theme camp? You can also use the WWW to let people know what you're about as well as where the bridal-wear jello wrestling takes place.
And now, for the first time ever, the What Where When is accepting a new sort of submission: written art! Whether your art is poetry, short essays, naughty limericks, paranoid rants or dadaist exclamations, the WWW is the venue for sharing them with the PDF-izens. Unfortunately, we're having some database troubles, so please humor me and send your submissions to the email address listed on that submission page. We'll do our best to fit it all in, but there's only limited space for longer submissions.
What's the deadline for all this printed joy! May 16. Seriously. If it comes in on the 17th, it's happening without you. So don't delay - submit/your event//heme camp/art/writing to the What Where When today at aerial-bear.com/fuego/index.jsp!!

Re: What Where When open for submission
Tue, April 22, 2008 - 11:21 AMHa ha ha, noticing typos thats why you're the editor!
So, if I send a limerick it'll prolly get published in the WWW and if I send a 2,356 word manifesto on moop it probably wont?
-
-
Re: What Where When open for submission
Tue, April 22, 2008 - 11:46 AMbut I'd be a better editor if I'd noticed them BEFORE I hit submit!
Yes, though a limerick on moop, or a 306-word manifesto would probably get published. Of course, if you wanted to submit a URL to an 2,356-word manifesto on moop, that would probably get in just fine too. OTOH, 2,356 words waxing eloquent on the glories of me and/or Miss Fidget is 99.9999% likely be published.

Re: What Where When open for submission
Thu, April 24, 2008 - 7:31 AMY'all are so seriously lame. aside from the test submission, there are a whopping THREE events in the WWW so far. Unless you come up with some shit to do, this is going to be the most boring PDF ever. Come on, submit! Just ask those Redbottom people - submission is fun!!!

28 days, 1 hour and 27 minutes until PDF. snap to it! -

Re: What Where When open for submission
Thu, April 24, 2008 - 9:42 AMoh please do :)
i have my hoop, and try working from video's and the such, but i'm spaztic, and just can't get it that way. I need some hands on help, and i'm sure i'm not the only one...
-
-
Cool.
Thu, April 24, 2008 - 9:54 AMActually, what I might do is reach out to whatever fellow hoopers might wanna collaborate with me. I don't consider myself advanced by any stretch, and something tells me I might find another hooper or two who would be happy to help spread some hooplove.
I'll post about it properly in a day or so I s'poze.

Re: What Where When open for submission
Thu, April 24, 2008 - 9:40 AMCoehlo - I'm not sure. I'll have my bears look into it. Sorry about that :(
-
Re: What Where When open for submission
Fri, April 25, 2008 - 8:12 AMCoehlo: fixed the database glitch. Check & see if your entry showed up. If not, I'm afraid you'll have to submit it again. Sorry!!
Dusty: The theme camp entry is there for a couple reasons. 1, if you're an unregistered, loose-affiliation sort of theme camp, you can put yourself on the radar so's people know to look for you when they want to go to your snazzy event. 2, if you submitted a longer description for the website, you can edit your own for the WWW, lest we do it for you to your dissatisfaction. (and also: yay for onionless carrot ginger slaw!)
George: please send your dog to Whiskey & Whores to crap out your posting so you can submit it.
Ok, that was just too far. But I couldn't help myself.
27 days!

Re: What Where When open for submission
Thu, April 24, 2008 - 11:36 AMWe're workin on it! We're workin on it! Don't worry... you sexy peeps won't be disappointed.
Question: I see a 'theme camp' entry for the WWW. If we registered as a Theme Camp will we be listed using the description we put on the registration form? Or should we still submit a theme camp entry for the WWW also?
500 characters for an entry, right?
And Ginger-Carrot Cole Slaw - hold the onions, right? -

Re: What Where When open for submission
Tue, May 6, 2008 - 7:29 AMOkay I promise to put my submission in some time this week....right now I'm waiting to hear back from my niece so we can get her flight booked out here. Then I'll be able to have an idea for sure if Sunday's when I wanna do the 'formal' hoopclass (as opposed to all the spontaneous gifted teaching other hoopers and spinners will be doing all weekend anyway).

Tue, May 6, 2008 - 9:09 AMYaaaa, I know you'll be at the class. :)
I should add to my comment above....I'll also be informally gifting teaching thru the weekend, it's kinda how it goes. That's one of the things I love about burners and spinners. :) -
